Incase you haven't heard about it before - Canada's annual fest of design and media culture is happening in May and this year is focused on Modding / Mod culture etc...

For the fest, we've organised a cool competition looking for submissions that are modifications of technology products - if I wasn't an organiser I would submit an entry for Joomla, because I think CMS' these days are inherently built to be modded etc... but if you're into a particular Open Source Software app/Blog platform/whatever and have changed it to suit your needs, or have developed something that is modd-able, check out our website at www.dx.org/digifest and download the '2006 Telefilm Call for Submissions' -

**Remember: the deadline for submission is Jan 31st*** so there's not that much time left, but the application is simple and winners will get a chance to come to Toronto and present!

I'm sure there are bloggers that have hacked WordPress etc.. to do cool things that are non-stock and we'd love to hear from you.
