The first thing I'd do is move it off of blogspot. When I see a blog is on blogspot, I don't even bother anymore. It's unreliable and extremely slow. Try www.MyBlogSite.com.

David, I just checked out your site, for I'm too am a blog virgin. I signed up on Blogspot at first but didn't like the layout and font size of the free site. So I'm gonna fork over $49 for a site on Typepad, which for me has a better design. It's not everything I want, but it's better than Blogspot.

I like visiting sites that have visual content as well as words. Yours could use some visuals.

I do however like the personal touch you have. Though I read political blogs I like to read interesting blogs about the personal lives of people. I also like your writing style--very pleasant and straight forward. So I'll look into your blog from time to time.
